Fishing Report: Fishing continues to be good depending upon weather and water fluctuations. Overcast days have been bringing on heavy midge hatches and blue wing olives ahve been showing up by early afternoon. Expect to see some fish rising, but a warning, they can be difficult! Otherwise the most productive method continues to be nymphing the deeper runs and drop offs.
Hatches: Patterns to have with you include midge pupa, larvae, and emergers in red and black sizes 20-24; baetis nymphs, emergers, and duns sizes 16 & 18; Bighorn orange and grey scuds sizes 12-16; and small san juan worms size 12. Remember to keep the profile of your fly on the small side and simple. Big fat ties are not going to get you many fish at all.
