The Chota "STL" shoes are extremely lightweight and comfortable. Great for hiking in long distances or for a quick roadside stop. These boots are designed with removable studs. This is great for anglers who sometimes need them and sometimes don't. If your fishing for wary trout on a placid stream and don't want to grind rocks, then screw the studs out. For fishing slippery boulders or flat shale river with a lot of moss/slime, then put them back in. Felt soled bottoms ensure better footing when the studs are out. They also have a "quicklace" design that makes getting the boots on and off fast and easy. The boots come with a set of 28 (14 for each boot) carbide studs. A nut driver or wrench (not included) is used to put the studs in or take them out.
