| Hook: 3x-long heavy wet fly sizes 4-8 |
| Thread: Flat waxed nylon or 6/0, used to spin the deer hair |
| Body: Olive, brown, or gray chenille, weighted underneath chenille |
| Wing: 4 grizzly hen feathers dyed olive or brown |
| Rib: Copper wire, used to hold in hen feathers |
| Head: Spun natural, olive or brown deer hair (you can mix two or all three colors), clipped to shape leaving the natural tips facing towards the rear of the fly |
| Cheeks: Pheasant body feathers |
