Green Drake Emerger / Green Drake Spinner


Green Drake Emerger

Hook: 2x-long dry sizes 8-12
Thread: Olive or tan 8/0 or 6/0
Body: Pale olive yellowish dubbing
Tail: Z-lon in brown or pheasant tail
Wing: Dyed olive deer or elk hair
Rib: One strand of peacock herl and/or olive 6/0 thread doubled, if you use peacock herl palmer thread oposite way to secure herl (as pictured)
Legs: Two clean tipped peacock strands tied underneath, optional

Green Drake Spinner

Hook: 2x-long dry fly sizes 6-10
Thread: White 8/0
Body: White dubbing rear 2/3 of hook and black dubbing front 1/3 of hook
Tail: 3 long moose mane, one down the middle and two split on either side
Hackle: Oversized grizzly hackle wound over black dubbing, clip hackle top and bottom
Rib: One strand of peacock herl and/or olive 6/0 thread doubled, if you use peacock herl palmer thread oposite way to secure herl (as pictured)
